So, the video is going to have its DIY routes! It’s going to be for our next EP which will be available in the summer.

Chris: All I can say is that it's going to be colourful and have a sense of humour to it. We had a lot of fun making it.

You’ve had a pretty exciting year so far. What else is going on for Nedry in 2009?

Matt: We’ve got a host of London shows at various venues and we’re moving further afield to play at Woolfire festival and hopefully also Beat Herder Festival this summer. We’re gonna push the summer EP hard and hopefully things are going to open up for us. I can’t help but feel excited like we’re just on the verge of something great. But I would say that coz I’m stuck up my own arse.

Chris: Chris - The sky's the limit. (Or Matt’s Arse is).

What’s been the Nedry highlight so far?

Chris - Playing lots of shows, having people watch us and give us positive feedback. Playing in the Beat tent at Truck 2008 was really amazing, it was the first time we'd heard our tracks through a really nice sound system and the bass sounded huge. Oh, and of course the Radio One play was a highlight!

Matt: I reverted to a childlike state when I was told about the Radio thing which was utterly inappropriate as I was at work. What music are you listening to at the moment?

Chris - Pivot, Cornelius, Soulwax, Captain Beefheart

Matt: I’m listening to Pivot (Warp), Errors (RockAction), and today in particular I have been listening to Spoono, he’s a fantastic guitarist aka Jack Allett. This guy has pretty much made it his mission to find out how far you can take the guitar in its purest form.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Matt: Inspiration comes from all over, but right at this moment, it’s mostly coming from the desire to tour. Creativity flows from my need to not be in my desk job.

Chris - Mainly from seeing music live, particularly dubstep and electronic music nights

What’s your dream collaboration?

Chris - I'm a big fan of Emiliana Torrini, I really think she is incredible and Gemma Hayes is also someone I'd love to work with, just incredible voices. From a production point of you, I'd love to work with Jon Brion or Nigel Godrich, people with lots of passion and ideas who get great sounds. Would love to tour with Pivot or Battles too, erm actually how can I go about arranging that...

Matt: Douchebag answer – The three of us playing together is my dream collaboration.
Looking up to the stars answer – I’d love to work with Michel Gondry on a live A/V project (Gondry would have to learn how to VJ).

Thanks guys, you’ve been great.  You can hear more from Nedry on their myspace page:
