What’s the scene like in Northampton?
Tom: Northampton is a strange place really. There's a lot of great bands coming and to have come from here (the on/offs, the departure, tanaou, sympathy state, the moons)
but no one ever sounds alike, which is a good thing I reckon.
Is it an easy place to play?
Tom: It's been really good to us so far but it can be tough. People tend to be a bit lazy cuz there are so many bands playing most nights.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Tom: Bits of everything I think. Myself and Nik write the majority of the tracks so its a mix of everyday stuff and trying to look at things in a positive way, but it always sounds a bit dowdy.
What music are you listening to at the moment?
Tom: Loads - Gaslight Anthem, Wintersleep, MGMT, Parts & Labor, Al Bowly... and always The Boss.
What’s your dream collaboration?
Tom: Mr. Bruce Springsteen... At the Drive-In... Paul McCartney... Dave Grohl drumming on anything we play?
Cheers Tom. It’s been a real pleasure. Good luck with the album and tour.
