DIGICORE - SELF ARMAGEDDON
Self Armageddon delivers a fusion of Drum and Bass breakbeats and massive chugging guitar riffs to create an awesomely powerful sound. Dark electro moments on tracks like ‘Nothing Matters’ are complimented with perfectly sinister vocals. The ‘cores industrial leanings are clearly evident with the noise of grinding metal on the excellent ‘Are You Happy Now’. Digicore then take their filthy electro metal sound to a fantastic new level on ‘Something Wonderful’ which sees a spine tingling vocal performance, downright dirty drum and bass and an immense guitar riff combine to create an absolute masterpiece. O' LOVELY LIE - NO IN, NO OUT, NO ECHO
Combining male and female vocals to create an intense, layered sound, ‘No In No Out No Echo’ is a great album of stunningly dark brooding music from O’ Lovely Lie. Whether through haunting keyboard and sparse guitar on tracks such as ‘Fashionista’ or through the bitter anger of ‘Pick Your Bones’ the band show their ability to write great songs. Keyboards pick out the melodies on ‘This House Radiates’ and they draw on post punk influences and vitriol to great effect on ‘Infect The City’.
‘No In No Out No Echo’ is an excellent album that delivers in every way; from its crunching guitars to its more melodic keyboard based moments. Whatever the track the magnitude of the vocal performances that drip with attitude is truly superb. Definitely worth checking out and available for free download from Last FM.

QUARANTINE - THE FUTURE IS THAT MOUNTAIN
A journey through angst and anguish from Quarantine all delivered with a massive slab of discord and discontent. Tracks such as ‘Dedfire’ and ‘Hungover’ are an awesome mix of fast and furious distorted guitar and vicious vocal prowess delivered in fine style. When Quarantine do deviate from their core powerbase of squealing guitars and screamed vocals on tracks such as ‘When I Was Seven’ - which has some Ska leanings and ‘Summer Gun’ - which delivers spine chilling echo and dub style drums, they never lose their superb edge. A truly fantastic offering from a great band. Turn it up loud, sit back and annoy the neighbours! Simply great. ROB CLYDESDALE - EMOTIONAL MECHANICS
Displaying technical expertise and excellent song writing skills in a wide number of styles, Rob Clydesdale shows not only that he has instrumental talent in abundance but also that he can craft beautiful and sometimes challenging vocal lines. Ranging from folk and flamenco tinged acoustic guitar based songs such as ‘What’s Outside’ and ‘Social Security’ through to massive sounding rock moments such as ‘Present’ and the fantastic vocals of ‘Face the Music’, this is a diverse and superb album. Rob also shows there is a sensitive side to his songwriting on the captivating ‘Hold On’. Emotional Mechanics is an album that takes you on a journey of perfectly devised and precisely executed guitar based music while never being self indulgent.
